25 Things About Me

25 Things About Me

Here are 25 insanely normal things that make me who I am today.

  1. I was born in the great state of South Florida, totally different from North Florida.
  2. I wasn’t able to properly say words until I was four years old.
  3. I have a deep fascination with technology ever since I was little.
  4. The earliest recorded video of me that I could find was from February 2004 on a VHS tape.
  5. That video specifically was when the preschool students’ parents came to the class to see what we’ve been learning for the year.
  6. I went to preschool because I was behind on learning some core things when I was very young.
  7. The first laptop I ever owned with my own money is a gaming laptop, because I love to play video games.
  8. I love to play competitive multiplayer video games no matter the platform.
  9. I prefer to play on video game consoles rather than on PC with a few exceptions.
  10. I have a live stream and YouTube channel that I dedicate some time to weekly.
  11. I own a gaming community online that consists of over 6,000 members.
  12. I’ve had a Steam (video game platform on PC) account for a little over 9 years.
  13. The first handheld I ever owned was the GameBoy Advance SP, partially a hand-me-down from my cousin when he got the Nintendo DS.
  14. The first video game console my parents had when I was around with the Nintendo 64, also a hand-me-down from my much-older brother when he bought himself a Sony PlayStation 2.
  15. When I was nearing the end of 6th Grade, I brought my Nintendo 3DS with me to play with some friends, but when I got breakfast and sat down, I noticed my 3DS was not in my backpack anymore. I never saw it again.
  16. The first handheld I ever bought with my own money was a limited-edition Zelda-themed Nintendo 3DS XL on Black Friday 2013. I still have it, but I’d eventually get a “New 3DS” to replace it 3 years later for my 17th birthday.
  17. I waited in-person at midnight launch to purchase the Nintendo Switch, the first console I bought with my own money.
  18. My favorite video game of all time is a tie between Mario Kart Wii, ad Super Smash Bros. as a whole (couldn’t pick which one, my first one was Brawl on the Wii).
  19. I have two sisters, one older and one younger, that with me, making me the middle child of my family.
  20. I have close to 600 hours in this competitive multiplayer game called “Overwatch” made by Blizzard. I bought the game during a Black Friday sale in 2016, the last PC game I have physically.
  21. Starting Spring 2019, I got my first job at the “M.A.N.G.O.” building on FIU’s Modesto campus.
  22. The first two days of my job, I worked at the Panda Express, but the following week I was transferred to the Starbucks next door, and three months later, I would again be transferred to the Taco Bell next, to where I’d work there for another year before COVID had me lose my job.
  23. I do not own a car as it wasn’t until recently that I didn’t have the funds to purchase one.
  24. I’ve stayed on campus every semester since my first Fall term, but my real first term at FIU was a Summer term due to my grades at the time.
  25. I have been receiving the Bright Futures Academic scholarship, which is meant to fully cover my tuition, fees, and gives me a partial bonus to put towards textbooks.
